Instead of using normal canvas, I decided I wanted to paint on cork board. I love the look and texture of cork. And I used the colors of our nursery to accent the tree. I can't say I love it, but I think its pretty interesting. And I enjoyed the creative process.
And I wanted to say how much I enjoy the comments! Catherine... thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately, because we are not using an infant carrier car seat, that wouldn't be an option for us. But thanks!! And since the stroller we chose has multiple seat positions, we'll be able to adjust it when he decides its time to see the world instead of just sleeping through it.
Soooo close to under 100 days left, Kelly! Woo hoo!!
ReplyDeleteOoopsss..P.S. I love your tree! I think you're being too critical. It's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHey--- I wanted to make sure and point out some advantages to having an infant carrier (at least when they are tiny small)
ReplyDelete-when you go somewhere-- like Target you dont have to put them in to the nasty ones that are at that store-- you can hook their carrier on the cart
- When you go out to eat they have slings for them so you dont have to hold them (and no matter what anyone says-- you dont want to hold them when you eat-- its not easy
- If they are asleep when you get somewhere its much easier to not disturb them
- If you go to someones house and they dont have a place for baby to sleep-- baby can sleep in there
- During the winter you can buy a "coat" that goes over the carrier-- you dont want them to have a coat between them and the straps of the car seat
in the end you have to do what is best for you-- but comng from someone who has recently been through it- I really think you may end up making things far less simple by not having one
